    Yes, these are on-line projects of 4.5 off-lined projects. They were media managed from a DV off-line to DVCProHD on-line.

    I’m not looking to reignite any old arguments, just curious about individual experiences. I’m well aware 🙁 of the 1200A’s limitations. Sadly, it’s my only option.

    If HD-SDI in works reasonably well, that’s good enough for me. My only remaining question is what codecs other than DVCProHD does the Kona2 accelerate? From reading these forums it looks like the Qrez codec is a no-show at this point.

  • Try unplugging your HD-SDI cable when you do this (or running a different signal to the HD-SDI than the Firewire). My understanding is that once you set the device control to Firewire HD the deck looks for the video signal through the Firewire port. So even though you think the video is coming in through the HD-SDI, it is actually coming in through Firewire. I can’t test this myself, but that is how it was explained to me.
