Dragging clips around on the timeline causes clips to disappear, crossfades to vanish and all kinds of wierdness. This was not such an issue with FCP 4.5, but we have an entirely new system now for FCP 5. Is this happening to anybody else?

    FCP 5
    Dual 2.7
    10.4.1
    X-Serve RAID
    4 GB RAM
    Kona 2
    Wacom Intuous
    Intellipoint Trackball

Couple of questions? Did you media manage these clips. Have you tried just copying and pasting these clips into a new sequence to see if it happens there. Wonder if it’s a corrupt sequence?

Yes, these are on-line projects of 4.5 off-lined projects. They were media managed from a DV off-line to DVCProHD on-line.

    Thanks for any help.

I’ve seen it too, and was able to just copy and paste everything into a new sequence and it worked fine, don’t know why. Hope that helps.
