    Thanks Troy
    It makes sense now
what was throwing me was that his edited X100B 24p footage played on the DVD fine

I exported my credit roll from my 24 PPro and brought it in a standard ntsc PPro project then set the time I wanted and exported it as a uncompressed avi.
Imported into Encore and transcoded it then just added to main video time line so it plays seamlessly after main video is finished as though its all one file. Looks great.

I also have AE but this was quick fix after your valuable advice

    Thanks again

    Hi Craig
Sorry to bother you for more info but the reply I got back from RevisionFX was that Twixtor will not work in PPro with field based footage and that I should import my DV footage into a PPro project set to Desktop and no fields. (I capture from a Sony DVCAM deck and if I put this in the Desktop setting then all footage has to be rendered). They said it was a bug in PPro with the DV codec.

Do you mind telling me if you applied Twixtor directly to your captured DV footage or do you have to use a none field or progressive project setting ?

    Any leads would be appreciated

At least I know it must be my settings – I have sent them with example to twixtor tech support but no response

Did PPRo follow the key frames in your twixtor speed ramps ?

ok I realised I put the twixtor folder in the main plugin directory and not in the Plugin “common” directory

now twixtor is in my Video Effects

    sorry for unwanted post

  • Just to let anyone intereste know that I ran a reg edit file from
    https://www.sysinternals.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=6202&PN=1 (Eptin post)
It installed my LowerFilters and UpperFilters key but then I deleted the UpperFilters and changed the LowerFilters to PxHlpa64
Rebooted and Encore recognized my drive and success in burning dvd

(for encoding I used Cinema Craft Encoder Basic and very pleased with result)

    Thanks Andrew
I have ordered the upgrade to Prem pro 2 as part of my video suite upgrade (Pro version) and I was aware that I will need a SDI deck with RS422 control but I am having a hard time finding what decks are out there. You mentioned that I have a couple of choices – what are they ?
