It’s back to haunt me. Three little compound clips in the browser which I cannot open or delete. No error message nut there is a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark next to them.
I have ben through all my sequences/projects and nothing there.
Weird.

Just exported and nothing there that I notice.
So this is just something that happens within the application. It’s a little disconcerting.

I had hoped by disabling the offending cameras audio in the channel configuration in the inspector might solve problem but it seems not.
I’ve been a bit of an idiot.
Switch audio shot by shot for every clip?

Hmmm….10.1 cleared up one annoying bug only I had which was that cmd 2,3,4 did not work in the keywords display and now this.
That said I do not have much use for the function…do you use it much?

If you create proxy files you never have to relink. Just change the playback preferences and you’re straight back into your original or optimised media.
It’s not like the old “tai Media offline, reimport proxies, take that offline and reimport full rez workflow.
It’s a simple as pushing one button to take you between the two.
I don’t work in 4K but my workflow is always to edit in proxy first. It works beautifully simply.

Aindreas you nailed your colours to the mast somewhat prematurely.
Everybody has access to word processing software and a lot of it is free.
So Apple have a vision for the future that probably means movie making is accessible for all of us.
But just because we all have keyboards and word processing software that does not mean we can all write best sellers.
A typewriter in my hands or the hands of William Shakespeare?
Did they have those debates back then about what kind of nibs they used on their pens?
That’s the paradigm. That’s where we are.

In which case does it not make sense to always use externally managed media even if the folder is on the same drive as the Library and have original, optimised and proxy lies in that with just Sym link files in Libraries at all times?
But then I ask myself war is the point of having proxy files as “externally” managed media anyway? Do you still get faster performance even though they are nay linked files?best
