Apparently the memory crash I keep having is not uncommon and has been going on for several years with others having the same issue and the only resolution seems to be wait for Adobe to put out a bug fix….has anyone gotten this error talking about being unable to allocate memory and to either decrease memory allocation or go out and buy more RAM??? This message comes up several times to the point I have to keep force quitting the program :/

No problem! Yea I am using color management I have my color space set to ProPhoto RGB and I’m working with 16 bit. I rendered using QT on both scenarios using photo jpg asa codec and also animation as a codec and got the same result.

Thanks it did spark a thought in my mind to clear my cache in after effects and it hasn’t crashed since (fingers crossed) so thanks!

Thanks, not sure what “secret menu” dude was talking about but I just cleared my cache and hopefully that’ll solve the issue I couldn’t find anything specific through google about this other than that. Not sure if there is more to it or not?

There’s going to be a 3d scorpion model animated crawling from the floor and onto the man’s neck then bites him.

Yea it definitely has that flat look. After clicking on interpret footage and going to the color management tab it says Embedded Profile: HDTV (Rec 709).
Right now my project settings has “None” under color settings/working space. I do see an option that says HDTV Rec 709 should I just select that?
Also can anyone explain what the importance of working in a certain color space is? This is my first time really having to do this or working with RAW footage.
Typically I’m just round tripping from Premiere using footage from one of my own cams or creating a motion graphics project from scratch.

Hi David I’m not quite sure. I didn’t film this particular footage I have. Is there a way I can tell from inside of AE or Premiere?

Thanks Walter — that was the issue. I didn’t see that warning (or didn’t think it made that big of a difference). Had to work at full resolution. It looked fine at half. Working in full is definitely slower with the 4k footage unfortunately :/

No prob.
Here is what it looks like inside the layer view: https://goo.gl/ADfoYB
Here is what it looks like in the comp view: https://goo.gl/tQH55c
And here is what it looks like once it’s rendered (you can see the finger going through the hologram): https://goo.gl/8DvO54The camera view is in Active Camera view also.
