Thanks Peter, that’s what i was thinking initially as well but wasn’t sure on the transition part. I’ve actually used cc glass to get the invisibility effect to match, but trying to figure out the best way to transition the invisible layer back to visible.
top layer – 3d object
bottom layer – background plate with cc glass applied and using top layer as bump map to get displacement effectAny ideas on how I’d use the fractal noise as a transition?

Martin you are a genius. Thank you. That one simple step I did not know about solved the issue.

I have success when copying the corner pin data to a layer that has an image, but when I try to paste it to a composition that is the same size as my comp then it shrinks my comp down to just the same size as the surface size used when tracking inside of mocha. Anyone know why that is?

Ok I figured out what the issue was — user error. Your suggestion was correct.
Thanks!

I tried that this time — used corner pin data applying it to a solid layer and still get the same results as if the track is off.

Am I missing something?

Well I have been having a lot of issues lately with 2015 and RAM despite having 32GB available. Seems to started pretty frequently as soon as I installed the latest trapcode and red giant products a couple weeks ago now that you mention it. I’m in a project where I need certain plugins they offer though. 2016 version releases supposedly in June from what I read. Maybe try 2015 until then.

Does that plugin use the RAM from the cpu or rely moreso on the graphics card? Do you know?

Started there before coming here. Saw majority of the comments and links, mostly the same problem no resolution except for a bug fix on an earlier version of AE.

Dude from Adobe claims this was the issue “This is an innocuous message that is just because After Effects is (mistakenly) doing a memory check that it doesn’t need to be doing. We’re releasing a bug-fix update this week that fixes this.”
He then goes on to say “No, it has nothing to do with anything that you did. It is just a stupid bug that is unrelated to anything that matters.”
I’m just wondering why EVERYONE doesn’t have the issue if that’s the case.

1) I did this before posting. Also did you actually see that official response from adobe or are you just assuming that? I have seen Adobe mention that it is a bug and they have issued an update for it, when the person in the forum mentioned it may be something they’re doing an Adobe rep specifically said it was a bug and not a user error….problem is this patch was released with an earlier version of AE.
2) I have 32GB of RAM, specs are in my signature on every post. This particular project I’m doing something way less labor intensive than what I usually do which is boggling.
