i suspected that it would be an easy fix.
i forgot that i had pressed that button
earlier today while messing with the preview window.

nevermind, i figured it out.
i was using the mpeg2 audio instead
of rendering a seperate wav file (uncompressed)

i just went and checked the hard drives-
they are both ntfs. looks like i’ll have to try vegas capture.

one more question,
in vegas capture—does it capture dv as one long
file?

yeah…you’re right.
but the funny thing is-
is that on one clip , the
video is a hair shorter than
the audio. weird stuff.

i think i’m just gonna have to
re-capture. i guess i’m gonna
try the vegas capture program.
can it capture analog as well as dv?

thanks jedi…that worked (to an extent)
NOW, i have a different, yet related problem. 🙁

now i’m getting the full triangle right over the timeline.
(showing that the video files are NOT overlapping anymore! 🙂

However….now the audio part of each file…is a little shorter
than the video part of the file. what is up with that?

THanks for your response, BUT
when i went to do that…the
“Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added”
box was already UNchecked.

doesn’t that mean it was already off?

i also changed the setting under that one
from .250 to 0.00
that didn’t seem to do anything either.
