Sorry for the late response. I was trying different things… I updated everything as per your instructions. I’m still having the same issues… Yesterday, I tried creating a raid 5 with 7 disks and it failed about 5% into it. It was giving me a disk error so I removed that disk, deleted the group, “cleaned” the disks (not sure if it’s necessary), and I tried creating another one with 6 disks. Failed again but went a little bit further. So I continued to do this. When I got to 3 drives, the initializing process actually finished. I opened up black magic disk speed test and ran it. About 4 minutes into it, I got a degraded drive then faulted. I’m not sure what to do at this point. Could it be the Proavio? SAS Cables? Could other apps/drivers be causing conflicts? What tests can I run to try and determine what exactly is going on? Not sure how to begin troubleshooting this. Maybe I can try using only one cable to see if it’ll fail? I just don’t know. I tried creating the raid groups both in Atto Config Tool and in the Bios. Both gave me the same results.

Thought I should update this thread.
So I got the Proavio with the High Point 4322 card. As I was setting up the raid, the card burnt out on me… I contacted highpoint and they agreed to let me RMA the card with the receipt waved. Took about 2 weeks from first contact till I received the unit back. They replaced it. I’m glad they did that.
I ended up getting an ATTO card. I’m getting 500mb/s speeds. I’m happy. I’m going to ebay the 4322. I just don’t trust the 4322.

Thanks John! Well I’m getting rid of the rocketraid. I’m going with areca. Seems everyone who has one is extremely happy with their product and support.
Do you have any knowledge on the Areca ARC-1223x? Found one for a good price.
I’m comparing it to the ARC-1222x and the ARC-1223x seems a bit better.

Really Appreciate it. I’m going to purchase the Proavio with the raid card. I’ll try out, if the performance and stability is bad, I’ll go ahead and sell the card on ebay and purchase the areca.
