Well, I know what to say…
Since i followed this advice Vegas12Pro has not cashed a single time. I’m blowing through my project now. If this is the solitary problem that has plagued my (and maybe thousands or other’s) Vegas… it should be address somehow by Sony. Anyway, in the end, i’ll be cleaning that folder from time to time until I hear otherwise.

    Thanks guys

Thanks for the thread. I’ll try tomorrow, but with little hope in this.
I just started a clean new project a little while ago to test the problem, and as soon as i tried to pull a file down into the time line it crashed immediately. So strange that this would happen after nothing was changed or installed into my computer. And even stranger when i read forum messages about how stable vegas 12 is for them. Wish i could get that going for me. i love vegas, but 12 has been a disaster from day one.

I’m ready to try anything! Can you walk me through how i revert back to a previous version? Should I just install the digital copy i purchased online? I don’t think that is the latest version.

it’s strange. It doesn’t crash until I try to drag something into the timeline. well… ‘doesnt crash’ is strong words. Vegas 12 hasn’t exactly been Mr. Stable. But at least I could work for 20-30 minuets before a crash would occur. now it’s pretty much broken.

  • Good to know!! I’ll upgrade as soon as possible

  • I just wanted to keep Vegas as updated as possible due to te numerous crashes it tends to have. I though the latest was build 700. Guess I should look into that. thanks

    Thanks guys!
