What might be easier is to open the seq, grab all the clips from the seg and throw them into a new bin.

print that bin from batch list. Which I stlll have not seen done.

But this will only work, sorting the bins by label column, if the bins are open. If the bins are closed or the
project is large and there are bins within bins it will not see them.

I just tried this and it could not find any of my new labled clips because the bins that they were in were closed.

However…it stills does not solve the media relatives issues. Which is how to show which clips where used in a certain sequence. Put those clips in a bin and then print it.

    any ideas??

Yep..I just ran through that in the prior post.

The problem with this method however is that batch list does not become selective. So it will batch list everything in the project. And what we need to do is create a list for the clips just in the sequence. This is why you have to consolidate your sequence first into a new project. A large workaround but not the end of the world.

    thanks

The screen capture wont work for our methods.

I am not opposed to buying things that are needed but this is SO elementary that
it is beyond me why it is not included. Maybe I should have to buy a third party plug-in to rename clips.

Until then those that wish to print a bin of a seq that includes the media clips in that seq (media relatives). Do this:

Media Manager / Create Offline – select radio button for “new project”. DO NOT DELETE UNUSED CLIPS. DO NOT INCLUDE MASTER OUTSIDE OF SELECTION.

That seq and the clips associated with the Seq will appear in a new project.

Control click the seq and export a batch list. Then print a batch list.

WOW that is a lot of steps but it will print your bin.

Great I have to purchase something that should be a standard. Kinda ridiculous.

    How do people print bins?

Matrox says it should work. Plus the clog seems with the NVIDIA, cause the MAtrox runs into one port and that drives the two monitors which leaves one port open on NVIDIA for the third. So why would it not work?

i think that we may have confused things by having two threads here:

    MULTIPLE MONITOR vs DUAL BOOT

Two graphic cards does the multiple monitor setup. Or you could use Triple Head2Go instead.

A Dual boot setup via two hard drives or a partitioned hard drive (one HD that is setup to act as two) allows you to run FCP and AVID independently.

    clear things up?
