For syncing you can also take a look at Plural Eyes from Singular Software. I also use it for syncing audiotracks that were recorded seperately from my camera

Actually that is my guess. That it has something to do with the keyboard and/or the mouse and pen functions. Somewhere the new driver interferes.
Only a wild guess…

Well I have the feeling that there are some weird things going on with this new driver. Some things won’t work with my mouse but do work with my pen….

Why not try the Lumix GH1 from Panasonic with the HH 020 pancake lens. Has a diafragma of 1.7. Shoots 25 fps and 1920X1080

Yes, you can connect the camera to your computer. You can also copy the whole ‘PRIVATE’ folder to your hard drive. When you open the L&T window, it will automatically open the AVCHD files.

If you have FCP 6 or higher you should be able to open these files with the Log & Transfer tool. Otherwise maybe you should buy Cineforms Neoscene. I work with the GH1. Works like a charm
