can’t let displays go to sleep anymore with new drivers for Kona LHe
Posted by Itamar Kool on March 29, 2010 at 1:34 pmSince I use the new driver for my Kona LHe I can’t let my displays go to sleep anymore. If I do, the display won’t wake up anymore, whatever I do.

March 29, 2010 at 6:36 pmI seriously thought I was going crazy. Thank you for posting this. Also, my control panel has up and gone missing on me. Is that happening to anybody?

March 29, 2010 at 7:44 pmWell I have the feeling that there are some weird things going on with this new driver. Some things won’t work with my mouse but do work with my pen….

March 29, 2010 at 7:49 pmActually that is my guess. That it has something to do with the keyboard and/or the mouse and pen functions. Somewhere the new driver interferes.
Only a wild guess…Kool En De Anderen

March 29, 2010 at 9:03 pmYeah, I”m having some weird things going on, timecode breaks on digitize that aren’t there, this display thing, a crash when fast forwarding on my deck – things like that. I’m thinking I might have to rollback.

March 29, 2010 at 10:55 pmSame happening with me ever since 7.5.1 drivers on a Kona LHe. If displays go to sleep then it won’t wake.

March 29, 2010 at 10:59 pmIt’s very surprising how buggy it is – especially for bug fix release. I was really excited about the double speed digitize, but now I discover I can’t even use that feature. I’m not at all happy about how many times I’ve had to force shutdown my mac this past week. How in the world did this not get noticed?

March 29, 2010 at 11:26 pmRolled back to the 7.5 drivers and the problem disappeared. Won’t be updating again anytime soon ;-).

March 30, 2010 at 6:44 pmIf you are experiencing issues related to your displays, it may be because you are using the regular version of the driver and not the NDD version of the driver. In some cases, interaction with the graphics cards and the Macintosh Desktop Display feature can be problematic. This is noted in the support section for the drivers. You may want to try the NDD version of the driver available from the AJA website where you downloaded the regular version, the NDD version is listed second after the regular version:
