Strange… Maybe you can try to export from FCP. If that is not possible, my guess would be that those codecs aren’t properly installed on your computer

You can install it from the utilities folder on the Snow Leopard disc

Now this is a strange statement. Who’s talking responsibility here? The only question raised is whether Adobe is operating in a ‘client-friendly’ way and if a big part of the customers of Adobe is using third party plug ins, that is a very legitimate question.

Thanks. Your suggestion works. Some other time I will take a new look at these plug ins. For now I’m glad I got rid of this window at the start up of AE and FCP.

I had the same problem. Long time ago. Somehow got rid of everything. Only thing that still bothers me is that at the start up of FCP and AE I still get this FXfactory window. Also I remember that there was an issue with FXfactory interfering with other stuff.

I had this problem too for a long time. But now I installed Snow Leopard and now Log and Tranfer works!!!

And the great thing is now that I can Log and Transfer in FCP from my DSLR with AVCHD files, which didn’t work under my ‘old’ Leopard

Thanks for all te input. I installed Quick Time 7 from the Snow Leopard disk. Strange thing is now that the player no longer says it is Quick Time Pro, but I do have all the export possibilities that I used to have including my Flip4Mac plug in. So I can live with this….
