I had some similiare issues with my drives that are cofigured like yours. I send them back and they gave me new power supplies and new firmware. Never had these problems again. Keep my fingers crossed though

I don’t understand what you mean. The whole thing between BCC 3 and FCP 5.1.2 looks so uncertain to me that I took out the whole BBC 3 plug ins folder from FCP. If I need BCC, I’ll use it in After Effects.

I took the BCC plug ins folder out of the FCP plug ins folder. Won’t be using BCC 3 in FCP until they really fix this

It was something with the settings of this specific DVC pro 50 player (Philips, I believe). Could not be changed. Didn’t have that problem with another pro 50 player (Panasonic). I did capure in 10 bits uncompressed.
Indeed it seems that is has something to do with DV being lower field firstKool En De Anderen

Somtehing like that happende to me once: I used an DVC pro 50 deck SDI to capture my footage. Had the same experience as you did: the footage came out with lower field first. But when I used the RGB connection everything was upper field first!! So maybe you can try to use the RGB conccetion.

I threw the old files away. But you’re making me wonder what went wrong before. I’m going to talk to the facility again

Hi Barend, At the facility (Zwart Audiovisual in Lieveren), they said that when you render full frame, it does render full frame but that the difference in fields is still visible within the frame. The compostiion I made had three windows that contained the video footage. When I redid the project I turned of fields in the interpretation footage window and when I applied the BCC deinterlacing filter I did notice a change in the picture. So rendering full frame would not mean the same as deinterlacing footage in that theory, as far as I understood.
