Well it works OK. But first you have to take a good look into the manual, bacause it has a strange procedure. Als what I experienced is, that you have to look up the file in your media to really hear it

I usually have that when I don’t have the proper track selected. where I want to put the transition. It is those things at the left side of your canvas

Gary Adcock showed it to me. He told me that there was some kind of licence agreement that you would have to sign with AJA to get permission to use it with both PPCS3 and FCP

Well, last week I upgraded to Nucleo Pro 2 and after some fiddling around I set both the maximum memory usage and the maximum RAM cache to 90% which meant 2,7 gig.
The maximum disk cache size is 2 gig.
Tell you the truth: I just don’t know what the ideal setting is. I’ve read so many confusing stories that I just try. Before I upgraded Nucleo Pro I had my memory usage smaller, but then AE didn’t complete the whole work area of my RAM preview.
I have never had out of memory errors though.

This is not a reply. Only a word of someone in about the same situation. I also work a lot in FCP and AE. So I bought the Production Premium packet. Only trouble is that my Kona card won’t work with Premiere. Still waiting for new drivers. Means that I’m still working the way I did, while I was hoping that working with PP and AE would mean a better workflow.
To try to reply to your question: I think that exporting an EDL from FCP and importing it in Premiere, may work if your timeline is not to complex and you don’t use a lot of effects in it.
