Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy FWD 10 frames

I know there’s the shortcut for ‘go forward 1 second’ but I’d really like a ‘go forward 10 frames’ like AVID (it’s one of the few functions I really like on AVID), has anybody mapped this- if so, how?

    Thanks

+10 on the numkeypad should do the same. The advantage of that is that you can do a +8 and -17 as well

Let the machine work for you. Not you for the machine

thanks for the thoughts but I know all that stuff. What’s really nice with the AVID is that it’s a single key press – hold it down and it shuttles forward at a really useful speed or you can ‘dab’ forwards or backwards with individual presses. And yes I know that multiple presses of l or j will shuttle (as they do on AVID) but the response isn’t the same.

Then Map the function to your keyboard. You can customize your keyboard to your liking…

Shane, that’s exactly what I’d like to do but how? I don’t see a function anywhere in the button list which is ‘go forward/backward x frames’

If you know how to do it please tell!!

    Thanks

Ah….I see. I looked and sure enough, I can find 1 frame advance and 1 second advance, but not 10 frame advance.

Sorry man, I thought it was there. But, I could be confused, sitting in front of an Avid and all.
