Actually it is a very comforting thought that a lot of problems have very simple solutions. You only have to find out which one it is.

Me stupid again. It was one of the settings of the timeline. In the playback and render controls, I didn’t have ‘filter’ checked…..

David, I’ll make it even stranger: when I apply an effect in that particular project to a clip IN the browser, it works!! If I do it in the timeline it doesn’t!!!

Hi David,
No it is on the timeline that I applied the effects. I tried some more stuff, trashed the preferences and also tried on another project. Turns out that with the other project everything woks OK. But not on this specific one. It was shot with a Sony XD Cam and I used XD Cam transfer to capture the shots. I am not too familiar with XD Cam. Could it be that I did something wrong there??Kool En De Anderen

August 20, 2008 at 3:53 pm in reply to: hey Walter B., whats your faster than DLT tape format?I have it since april. The system is very solid. I have done a couple of restores with no issues at all. People tell me that Tandberg is a very solid, top class and reliable manufacturer, that will be there for a long time.
Only thing you have to take into account is that you have to work with a program called Retrospective that comes with the drive. You have to really dig into that program to be able to work with it smoothly. But if you know how to do it, it is also a wonderful way of administrating all your work.Kool En De Anderen

August 20, 2008 at 7:56 am in reply to: hey Walter B., whats your faster than DLT tape format?I use a Tandberg VXA tape drive. Much cheaper and speeds around 600 Megabytes per minute. Doesn’t have 800 gigs cassettes though

Wasn’t there a post a couple of months ago mentioning that something would be coming in the third quarter of this year???
