I have always traveled with a copy of the Anton Bauer page that shows the Dionics to be legal for air travel. (See link.) As the Dionic 90s are listed at under 8 grams of lithium, it seems the only change is that now I’ll carry them on instead of packing them in the camera case. I’ll now carry both the Anton Bauer document and the government document. They reinforce each other to prove I’m legal.

I have had excellent results with cotton swabs, a soft cloth, and plain old Windex. Takes off the dirt, doesn’t harm any of the surfaces.

Been using the Sony on the SDX for years, and the HDX for months. Works just fine.

We’ve done it successfully in both modes. Matching the look takes a bit of adjustment, though.

    Tom –

It’s only been a few weeks, but so far I like it a lot. It is in a sweet little pocket between the 7.6, which wasn’t wide enough for me, and the 4.5, which didn’t go out far enough. A bit heavier than I’m used to (compared to my 7.6X18 SD lens)but not bad. Has a good ergonomic feel and is really sharp. After shooting with the 7.6 for a few years, the extra coverage at the wide end is really nice. Finding a 107mm protective filter for the front element was an adventure in back order. Not a common size, it would seem. All things considered, I’d go for this one again.

Thank you, Tony. I guess I now know how to do it properly. I’m happy to know what it’s called.
