I know I’m treading murky waters here but here goes:

I am doing a 2 cam shoot with 1 SDX900 and 1 HDX900. The client is used to shooting with the SDX at 30P. To get as close as possible should I put my HDX in 1080i/30P or 720P/30P mode?

    Thanks in advance.

I’ve done very successful 2 camera shoots mixing the SDX and the HDX with the camera set to 720P 30. As long as you’re finishing in SD, the cameras match pretty well if they’re set up properly. That’s not to say that 1080 won’t work too, but I’ve done it at 720 and it’s pretty convincing.

We’ve done it successfully in both modes. Matching the look takes a bit of adjustment, though.

Thanks for the advise. I’ve heard that using Filmlike 1 and pumping the Master Gamma to 55-56 helps to match the cameras. Do you concur? Is there anything else I can do?
