When you’re zoomed in too close for seconds to matter, then it shows frames. When you zoom back out you will see seconds displayed again.

    1. Too few people understand what a good program it is for both video and audio production. I completed many projects with it in grad school and would always get blank, vacant, dazed looks when I explained that I did NOT use after effects for the effects or pro tools for the sound production. I think to this day they think I was pulling their legs!!!

I don’t think you need to flip anything as most projectors (every one that I have worked with) have settings for front or rear projecting as well as ceiling mount setting which flips image upside down.

You can rear project on a wide variety of materials. It depends how you want it to look. I’ve seen people use bedsheets. I did an installation where I used paper that comes on long rolls. In the case of fabrics and papers you really need to experiment and do some tests to see if it works for you. You will get different degrees of brightness and texture.

If you want the brightest and sharpest possible images, then find the real thing… rear projection material designed specifically for that purpose. (never actually used any myself, but I’ve seen it used and it’s beautiful, especially if your not making the image too tooo huge. A net search for rear projection screen should hook you up)

    good luck

have you tried turning down the volume slider in wmp? I sometimes get distortion if that’s up to high, so I just tweak that down a ways and turn up the speakers to compensate.

or if you use 3Mbps template, it says…

Audio: 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, QDesign compression.
Video: 29.97 fps, 640×480, Sorenson 3 compression (best).
Use this setting for high quality video playback from a CD-ROM.

Are you using the default template? I noticed that if you do… push the custom button, then the video tab… it shows video format as none… you should probably choose one from the drop down… like dv/dvcpro or sorenson video maybe

Although I do all my editing in Vegas and think it’s a great program, I use Encore for dvd production ( the integration with photoshop is very handy for me). Encore has never crashed my machine… a six year old dell 866mhz. So what does this mean? I don’t know…. maybe find out what is really crashing your machine?
    good luck

It’s the little button with the grid just above the preview window. And the drop down at the right edge of that button. 😉

Yes YOU have made a mistake! I do pip in vegas all the time with no problems. Have you set something wrong in your render settings, interlace method, etc…??? I mostly use default settings with very good results.

Of course you could just buy a mac, fecal cut pro, or avid excess, and not only will it do pip for you all by itself perfectly but it will make your coffee and fluff your pillow at bedtime! But really you sound like an adobe premier person – there are so many good training products available for that stuff… no really, I’m not kidding.
