I am not too sure what you mean, but I would like this the solution to be purely expression based

Wow! that is brilliant, I never used the external composting tag before

I already manually animate the video and pre-comp it so that i can use another video if i feel like. but this technique is awesome I will use it future projects.

and I object buffer the reflection channel and overlay it in AE to have more control. Thanks for reminding me about ”screen” the video later over the 3d model.

I have a last question Mike, how do you use a footage as a layer matte in vegas? to reveal the footage depending on the luma or the alpha of another footage??
