I believe it is AAC. I took some H264 footage and applied the prores 422 settings in compressor before bringing it in to FCP.

I am able to view the original video fine with Perian. But once I compress the media into a different type of codec the video is blank. My main goal is to be able to edit the footage in Final Cut Pro7.

I did download the latest version of Perian to view the orginal AVI file, but after compressing the video is no longer viewable… odd.
