While we give you two activations per license it is best to have one copy per seat. You can’t run multiple instances of a license on the same network simultaneously.

Log and Transfer plugin is a little add-on we made for EX only. You should use either the XDCAM Transfer or Content Browser plugin. Each adds Import/Export XDCAM items to FCP’s FILE menu and both support UDF.
XDCAM Transfer is the one I;d recommend as it is extremely easy to operate and supports background processing (i.e. imports don’t lock up the computer). Content Browser is a more full featured card/file management application.

Hi Malcolm– there is a separate serial # for CB in with the rest of the supplied documentation. It’s on an 8×11 sheet with a bar code and says ‘Serial # for Content Browser.” Use this, not the camera serial.

The issue is that the recent ProApps update broke the QT decoder for users under Snow Leopard. Replacing the QT library folder with an older one or reverting to a backup taken before the update will fix the issue as you are then using an older version of the Apple codec. No codecs are installed with any of the Sony plugins. We are talking with Apple about this now and I hope to have an update soon

We confirmed that something in the ProApps 1.0.3 update breaks the XDCAM/LongGOP component for most users running 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). It’s been reported to Apple. For now the only possible workarounds are either updating the OS or reverting to a backup taken before the update was applied. There are different possible creative permutations of the latter that may work which we have not yet had an opportunity to test. In the meantime it’s important to for users with an urgent need for Snow Leopard support to report this to Apple.

as i posted earlier, none of the drivers are qualified for Mavericks yet, we will have an update shortly

what you’re trying to do, if i understand correctly, is not possible. it sounds like you want to combine multiple discrete clips into one long clip..? if you have a spanned EX clip, i.e. one video clip (showing one thumbnail) made up of sequential <4GB chunks, these are consolidated into one file when you convert but it’s not possible to group standalone clips into one consolidated clip.

Did you configure the Import directory in the preferences?
Also you should really use a later version– 2.13 is available under ‘legacy applications’ at https://www.sony.com/xdcam-downloads
