Yeah, I edited it in widescreen, and exported it using no codec under the Microsoft codec. I kept the ratio 720×576, but the pixel ratio was PAL DV Widescreen ( (1.4) or something).
I know different media players will treat it differently, but if it is a 720×576 image, isn’t that just 4:3?
My ultimate goal is to keep the widescreen ratio, put it on a DVD, and when viewed on a regular 4:3 TV, it is letterboxed – I can see the whole width with no squeeze. Likewise on a widescreen TV, I would like it to fil the screen (naturally)
Do I have to make a 4:3image that basically INCLUDES black bars as part of it (therefore reducing the area that the actual film is on)??
