  • Okay thanks, so in your opinion would this be a fine laptop to get for the level of editing Im doing? Or should i look for a more expensive one. I’m just stringing together raw footage, and I’m using Vegas pro 10 at the moment although I could upgrade Vegas if I needed to

  • Ah true. I’m looking at the laptop on Sonys website and it’s kinda confusing cause it says the i7 is “2.20ghz/3.20ghz”, so im not sure how it could be both lol. I suppose regardless it would be an good step up over my single core processor I have on my computer

  • Okay thanks. The i7 is a quad core and the card has 1gb memory. This should be fine for the basic editing I described right? I just want to be able to edit without any major slow down and render projects without running out of memory or anything, cause on my old computer sometimes I would render a project and it would fail

  • Thanks, that’s really helpful, I found a $750 laptop with an i7 in it that looks good. How important is the video card? The one I’m looking at has a “GeForce GT 610M”

Also I dont use any effects I just use raw HD footage
