    Hey Walter

Thanks very much for your feedback.

I’m looking into the following LaCie drives:

    600GB BIGDISK EXTREME USB 2.0
    500GB BIGDISK EXTREME USB 2.0
    250GB PORSCHE EXT FIREWIRE HD

Do you have any experience with these particular drives?

    A few new questions…

    1. If I am daisy chaining additional external firewire drives do I need to set-up my computer so they are all on their own individual bus and install new dedicated firewire cards for each drive, or, do the drive plug into one another without any problems?

    2. Can my video deck be on the same bus as either new drive?

    3. Do I need a cloning program to copy all of my files to the new firewire drive or can I drop and drag?

    Thanks again,

    Howie

Buying a new machine is not an option right now, however, the FireWire drive might be.

What is a good brand FireWire Drive?

What is a cloner application and can you recommend a good program?

    Thanks

When trying to burn a DVD from iTunes the following happens:

I click the Burn DVD button in iTunes and recive the following prompts:

    “Checking for DVD writer.”

    The drive opens.

“Please insert the DVD you wish to write to…” With only the cancel button to click.

    I insert the disk.

A few seconds later I receive the following:

“This disk is unreadable by this Computer. Do you want to initialize the disk?” It asks to name the disc and choose one of 3 formats: 1. standard CD, ITunes or MP3 CD. There are 2 options to click: 1. Eject or 2. Initialize.

    More information:

First of all, thank you all for responding to my post. Now, on to your questions.

I’m using a Power Mac G4 733 with the Pioneer Superdrive, OS 9.2.2 and iDVD Version 1.

    Thanks for responding.

Thank you for the tips. I only have a VHS copy of the footage. It would appear that the hits are on that tape.
