    Hi,
You will need to establish a SAN. If you are using the UltraStor units in a Fibre Channel configuration, you can add a switch, we would recommend QLogic SB 5600 Series and MetaSAN from Tiger Technology. Using the MetaSAN client software you can manage and share out the storage between your Axio systems pretty easily. If the UltraStors are SCSI attached units you can purchase an Atto Fibre Channel-to-SCSI Bridge 4Gb FC and dual UltraSCSI connections and share out the storage by attaching to the QLogic SAN switch.
If you have questions or we can be of additional help, plesae get in touch.

Given your intended plans, and your desire to keep things at a cost efficient level for budget we would recommend that you use a shared storage enviroment between the suites connected by a Fibre Channel 2Gb(FC)SAN. Each system in each suite would connect to the storage via a dual ported host bus adapter (HBA). Each port from a suite would connect to one of the two controllers on an ADTX RAID. The ADTX – LH RAID has 15 500GB drives and Dual/Redundant Fiber Channel 2 controllers. The unit will support up to 2 Streams of HD1080i uncompressed. Along with this we would recommend MetaSAN for managing the digitised material without cutting corners and risking losing the media or hindering the edit process by making sure one user doesn’t overwrite another. We can go over things in more detail if you want to call. I’m really not sure that this will fit your budget without knowing numbers.

According to the product overview https://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Advanced+Video/Liquid+Edition/Avid+Liquid+7+Documents/Technical+Specifications/Technical+Specifications.htm, you should be able to run either a FC or iSCSI SAN. What you need to do is to describe your current environment and what your end result goal is as completely as possible. With that information, I can give you a more comprehensive response on the benefits of each.
