Maybe if it could generate a letter properly you wouldn’t hear a constant barrage, dumbass.
The problem is not that I don’t know how to use the text generator, it’s that the text generator doesn’t work. And by the way I just tried in Boris, exact same thing.
I understand that to a wedding videographer who probably never properly monitors HD this might look good. But seeing it as is at 1920X1080 it,s unbelievably inept.

Hi, thanks but this has nothing to do with my issues.
I am monitoring the project through the Matrox MXO in HD. What I see is what the signal is. Also, there is no way the letters look like garbage because I’m using HDV. The letters are ugly even unrendered and if FCP can’t create a well formed letter in an HDV sequence then it’s titler is garbage because I can create easily do this in both Avid and Vegas.

Hi there,
I assume those are HDV files? At any rate, download the awesome freeware “MPEG Streamclip” (grab it from macupdate.com or versiontracker).
Put your M2T in it (you can use the batch list function for multiple clips) and then converts it to whatever you need, or demux to MPEG2/MP2 audio for lossless results (if it IS HDV, that is)..

Yeah, I’ve just had 2 similar crash but in FCP this time. I’m thinking of using 10.5.1 which I have installed on my second internal hard drive.
I need to know one thing before I do, though, by opening a project in 10.5, will I be able to re-open it in 10.4 afterwards?

SOLVED-I deleted User/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro Uder Data folder.
