    Hi Bill,
I’ve got a problem with FCPX 10.1.3. I have been editing a feature doc for the past 4 months. On Monday last, I worked on the final cut for the last time. When I tried to open the project on Tuesday, it hung and failed to open. I saved the complete library for the previous version, but cannot open the library for the last version and obviously don’t want to have to redo all the work done in the previous version. I have tried to replace the “CurrentVersion.flexolibrary” files from several backups, but no luck – still won’t open. I have also tried to replace the current version event file from backups, but again, no luck. Is there any other option available short of resigning myself to the state of “FCPX is seriously not reliable for large project editing”?
    Thanks in advance for advice,
    Heinrich Dahms

Thanks for the feedback, Bret, but Im pretty sure Rafaels got it right. I also recorded the same stuff simultaneously on the SxS card in my EX1 and that was unambiguously progressive. I do believe its a question of the blade stuff being flagged in fcpx as upper dominant and its a question of reflagging the footage in the event browser and creating a progrssive timeline before moving the clips onto the timeline. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for this, Rafael, its kind of what I was suspecting. Will give that a go.
    Cheers again for the feedback.

    Thanks for the feedback Rafael.
So what youre saying is, I need to select the whole sequence in the timeline and then reset the whole sequence setting to progressive in settings? So that is, first the individual clip and rhen the whole sequence.

It also occurred to me, what if I select all the imported clips in the event browser as soon as theyre imported and then reset their settings in the inspector settings? Before I move them to the timeline. Would that make a difference in theory?
    Thanks again!
