Tried to transcode only the avi file but is not allow to do that alone… it say it need to have a timeline to calculate the compression, so I made a new timeline and left it overnight to make the transcoding without burning the disc…turn the monitor on today and guest what! THE SAME; the timeline is cut at the same time of 1:36.
This is insanity as the other guy said. No idea what changed!
Do I have to do the rendering process from Premiere again?
What would make the difference?

If it is Encore 2 (the one I have) just click the chapter in the timeline and get properties. You will see a “end action”. Drag the @ to the main menu or whatever.
I have never tried this but I think is what your’re looking for. -
I’m using the same as always… microsoft DV avi. I didn’t changed anything.

Well I woke up this morning and turned on the monitor and saw that 7GB m2v file and knew I was in the clear! Re-encoding the AVI and using the replace asset did the trick for whatever reason. I even looked up online how to test an AVI for errors using the command line tool ffmpeg and I ran it on the original AVI file and it didn’t come up with a single error. But for whatever reason, Encore simply stopped encoding video at that mark. At least now I know if that happens again (or if it happens to anyone else on here) that it’s the AVI file, even know there’s no obvious or even hidden errors that I could find.. Insanit -
Hey, I have the same identical problem with Encore 2. The avi file is 2:06 (2hrs,06min)from Premiere. I had re-encode the avi 2 times but the problem persist. It broke the timeline at 1:36 but the audio continue up to 2:06.
Never had this problem before.
I’m now re-encoding the avi file into a folder to avoid the re-encoding process any time.
NOT sure how did you fixed the problem.

Have not clue. Do you have only one timeline? Did you mark the timeline so when finished it return to main menu? -
What considerations are you making for possible copyright violations?
Do I’m saying I’m going to steal it? I’m trying to look/find if there any premade animation for an opening… just that. -

BTW I have AE but like would not. I can’t figure what it can do.
With Bluff Titler and 3D Album I do very easy glamorous things.
I had lauched AE and then I ask… and now? Need to watch some tutorials to know what I’m missing, eh?
Does it have pre-made effects? Besides that I work with PP2 & Encore with closed eyes -
I have customize my KB so I only put the cursor on the frame and hit “E”. Then I look at the folder where I want to save it. There is an option where you can add a copy of the still into the project.
You can find it at File>Export>frame.
Frame treatment: (Top)Clip>video options> select what you want here.The problem I had found when adding stills into the timeline is that the stills shake a lot but only I noticed this movement when the DVD is already burned. Never before!! I had to applied “deinterlace” or any other treatment to all stills one by one, then burn the disc again (I use Encore) to correct the problem. Sometimes any other still shake besides all.

Good decision for SD editing. Things will change for HD. At least 2 Hard Disc is recommended. (1-operative system 2-Capture/render footage- the biggest one) It can be external.
You didn’t mentioned the video card. It’s important to choose a good one with dualhead for 2 screens and Svhs out for TV monitoring.

Some time ago Vicent ‘Becquiot’ gave me one he made at Photoshop. You can strech/expand to your like using motion.
Maybe he can pass it to you. Don’t know how to make it available to you.
