Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro How do you create a vignette effect in PP2

Are you thinking of starting with a full size image and then cropping it to show a smaller part of the original? Or are you picturing a track matte key? For example, the shape of a heart is superimposed over the original image and part of the original image is visible inside the heart. Please describe what the final image would look like.

The best way if you have the dough is get either Magic Bullet or 55mm. Both plugins have good (and different) vignette filters and can be infinitely adjusted with blur, size, shading, opacity and shape. The Magic Bullet Misfire Vignette renders VERY quickly on NVidia VGA systems.

I’m referring to the track matte I think. I want a soft black border on the edge of my videos–kinda creating a dreamy effect.

Thanx Peter, unfortunately, I dont have the budget for magic bullet. Am looking for something “homemade”.

Some time ago Vicent ‘Becquiot’ gave me one he made at Photoshop. You can strech/expand to your like using motion.
Maybe he can pass it to you. Don’t know how to make it available to you.
