I have this audio clicking problem too as I put even a simple (+3 or +0 fade) dissolve in between clips. I noticed the pops after I rendered the audio. Then when I got rid of the rendered files, the clips became in their RT preview state (green) again, and they sounded fine. That’s the only thing that seems to work, but I don’t know if preview audio is what you would want for mastering to tape, although it sounds ok.

I fixed the pops by deleting all the rendered audio files… now the audio on the timeline shows green (RT). But why should there be pops after rendering? Anyway, it’s fixed. Thanks.

These audio dissolves I’m making are from just dv files via firewire, captured at 48k, 16bit. Would trashing preferences fix the problem?? The pops sound really annoying and loud.

i will try the audio dissolve “fade +3” to see if it works, but please anymore suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

Thanks so much. I am trying to make a DV quicktime file of reels for a music editor at work. We use DVcam DSR80 which doesn’t have firewire. As for my home use I would definitely get the higher model. Thanks a lot. Great cards.

    Hi,
I just want to capture video/audio through sdi as a dv quicktime. Would a simple $295 Decklink work? Also do I need to purchase a disk array in order to do this.
    Thanks.

Thanks a lot Don, I’ll try test out the speed of my drives and decide from there.

I’m using 2 Lacie FW 800 drives (250g and 500g), I have my project and some media on 250gig drive, and I decided to capture some more footage on the 500gig drive… I’m daisychaining the 2 drives via 800 connection, wouldn’t that be fast enough so it won’t give drop frames message? I think I will try connecting one of the drives via 400 instead of daisychaining. Hope it’ll work. But any other advice for things to look into?
