If you work in a studio environment and can import straight to editstation, capture your material through HD SDI (the material will be a lot better.) It will be 4:2:2. And you can capture any codec etc. depending on your machinery.

But to shoot to the card it will be 4:2:0 long gop. If i’m not right, please correct me someone?

I haven’t gotten my camera yet, but for greenscreen i’ll be using iOHD.

In the camera i had in my hands, the connector was at the frontend of the lens. Kind of odd place.
It is a Fujinon lens, so maybe they will announce a zoom handle near future. I dont think it will be a Pro-version though.. ;(
(I’m in EU, so PAL cameras could look different, which i doubt)

I’m sorry if i was unclear. My continuing question is actually this:
Can you order a new macpro from Applestore without them putting the latest OS X (leopard)? I’d rather use FCP 6 with Tiger for now..

Have you tried with another monitor?
Maybe the fault is somehow in your current monitor?

  • You know i had the same issue, when i tried to register my FCP.

I got rid of it when i added a state in the application. Just added anything since we europeans don’t have states. I might have put something like “jerh4#jshfbjh” as a state and finally my registration passed.

Try this and let us know. 🙂

    Almost yippee!
I followed your instructions, and was able to make and listen the script, added it to compressions actions, checked “execute AppleScript on output”, and chose my script from documents, batched the file -but MBP didn’t make a sound..

I wonder if i have to try to add the rising of volume somehow. I think the fault is somewhere else, though.
    Can you help?

I knew you guys would have an answer to this. 😉
    Thanks a lot.
Now i need to start learning about scripts and how to make them, but that is my problem. At least i know there is a way to do this.
(i try to follow your instuctions)

  • Forget the keying and greenblood.
If you buy “creating motion effects in FCP” DVD from Ripple Training, you get the plugin for free. By far the easiest way !!
    It was – 100 bucks – 10 000 km – 3 days.
