What are you rendering to from Vegas?

  • > Try changing the Zoom % (first one under Workspace in the left side menu) down to 50% and see if that helps.

I must be beyond stupid here, but I see no way to get to any dialog with the magnify tool. No kind of clicking on it produces anything in the way of dialog.

The helpfile seems to indicate I should be able to access a dialog.

If I just (left) click the magnifying glass… I get a plus sign on the moving glass, and if I click on the image of course it gets bigger. But still no dialog or way to set %50.

The helpfile has this to say:

    —- —- —- —=— —- —- —-
    Zoom:
To change the magnification of the video in the workspace, select the Zoom box and type a new setting, or select the box and click the button to display a slider that you can use to adjust the magnification level.
    —- —- —- —=— —- —- —-

I’m not seeing any box in the screen shot HERE

No, Mike nailed what I was after on his first response… I was looking to nudge that actual clip

but thanks for that input too… also appears quite useful. And another thing I’d wondered about.

Well if I set for this video, everything else will be off.

    Is this what you see?

    Dark vid

Thanks for the hefty clue… One thing, are there modifier keys that will cause the motion to multiply times 5 or 10. Something like holding shift or another key while pressing the appropriate numeric keys?

The usual candidates, Ctrl or ALT seem to just turn off any motion from numeric pad.

    Aaaackk yup, I see Thanks.

Looking at the Les Stroud Intro to Vegas 9 I find that is so dark as to be really difficult to follow. Maybe if I download it, I can lighten enough to be usable with vegas?

    Sorry… vegas 9.0e

SO are you saying the only things are available worth while are the payfor training discs?

I had hoped there might be a few worthwhile freebies online.

Thanks… But man what a tedious and awkward way to to do it.

If you are removing more than 2, its a serious pita. But gets the job done… thanks again.

    > Looks like it’s time to call Customer Service.

I should report that in spite of my doubts and distaste for having to call customer service… It was actually quite painless.

First I got a tape recording that told me they were experiencing unusually heavy call load and might want to call back another time.

I hung on anyway, and pushed the selection for sales.

In less than 1 minute I had a live tech who spoke english with an american accent.

He tried mailing me the license, but it failed again.

Finally he posted my license mail on a my sony account on line.

I thought that was pretty resourceful of him. But then too, why don’t they just print the license number with your receipt when you finish the purchase?

    Some software vendors do that.

They finally did send me a password reset… Logged in and looked up my software, of course Vegas 9 is not listed there… Instead there is a section where I offered to pay for it.

    Something is really wrong here
