Peter, thanks for the response; sorry I haven’t checked back to this post in a few days. Marianna over at the Avid forums put me in touch with their tech support; no solution at the moment (apparently my issue is a real anomaly), but they’re looking into it. When I hear something, I’ll post back here. Thanks.

Furthermore, I reinstalled v 7.0 and it now behaves just as 7.1 & 7.5! Frustrating!

Good idea, but no dice; no change. In fact, all settings return to default whenever I restart the machine.
I suppose I’ll contact Aja. Thanks.
