The way you have it set up right now you can only do 15 frame dissolves. You need at least 30 frame handles on each clip to do 30 frame dissolves.

Works on my G4 1.67GHz 15″ PowerBook with 2GB RAM and the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics – 128MB… of course the GUI is pretty hard to read, so only use it in a pinch.

I’ve had this happen a few times as well. My fix is to unplug the cable from the card and the K-Box and just reverse it. Don’t know if it’s a connection thing but it has worked for me. This was suggested by tech support when I first put my system together and I couldn’t get any audio out of the K-Box.

While you’ve got the cable off reverse it end for end. This happened to me once on a Kona 2 and reversing the plug ends fixed the problem… worth a try.

I spent 1/2 hour downloading what is called the 4.15 Updater (234.7MB) installed it and a Get Info on the Red Engine still shows it as being 4.1 from January 12, 2007.
I’ve always found it difficult to keep up with version numbers with Boris products… not to mention the fact that I have literally thousands of Boris files from previous versions that never get uninstalled… how about some uninstallers.

In my case it was the motherboard on the G5 that had the Firewire 400 ports fried… the 800 port was fine. Replaced motherboard (under warranty) and drives were okay again. 😉

Others, meaning myself, are having the same problem with ghosting type on downconvert… or in my case, SD anamorphic to SD letterbox. See post above.
