Well the update is available I shot a project on 720p25. Just trying to load it in the updated FCP 5.1.2. I used easy setup to preset for 720p25, but FCP tells me it is Unable to initialize Capture Device. Apple isn’t very clear on how to connect. I cannot find any instructions on this. Anyone with experience?

Ok that sounds familiar. I’ve allready tried to restart fcp and computer several times . Throwing away the preferences feels like it makes sense. Gonna try that.

I think you try to import a muxed mpeg file. That means audio and video aint in different tracks. To import muxed mpeg in fcp, you have to demux it first. You can find demuxing software on vesiontracker.com
