I’m trying to import audio from a PAL VCD. I copied the VCD onto my hard drive, then using Cinematize converted the files to Quicktime files, which look and sound fine in Quicktime Player. And the video from both the .VOB and .mov files imports into FCP fine. But: the audio won’t import. Compressor says it won’t import MPEG1 or MPEG2 files. How can I get the audio imported?

    Thanks for any advice,
    Jacob Klein

I think you try to import a muxed mpeg file. That means audio and video aint in different tracks. To import muxed mpeg in fcp, you have to demux it first. You can find demuxing software on vesiontracker.com
