Thanks for quick reply. Wish such a label were attached. But all I have is a bare black box with a three pin a/c input on the back side. No power block.

  • Greetings speed freaks! I’m looking for Voltage Specs on an old but hardy Burly two by eSata box I’ve had for many years (purchased from MacGurus in Spokane, WA). I have about 20 drives to attempt to find old camera footage… and I’m in a 220v environment… but I can’t remember if I can plug this directly into the 220v or if its a 110v only. I’ll have a transformer in a day or two.. but in the meantime, would be swell if anyone remembers the voltage on these indestructible, super reliable old beasts!!! THANKS IN ADAVANCE!!! Hal.

Hi Don, I’m back in Seattle but couldn’t bring the EX1r with me. I honestly don’t recall if i saw your reply re Reset All. i’ll definitely do that on return. I picked up a Fs5ii here out of frustration with having to record audio on my laptop… old film style production! ha. the H4n died also.. my go to backup previously… India seems to eat equipment rapidly compared to Seattle! Thanks again for the replay back in 2018!!!

    Thanks, Steve.
I’ll look into Adobe Prelude. Never used it.
Obviously I’m just better off leaving everything as is… and my hope of saving space and distractions is a futile pursuit here.

I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to reply.

    Thanks, Jon!
I haven’t looked at my profile in years.
    Hope this helps.

  • Regarding your suggestions to convert to ProRes,

are all conversion apps producing the same ProRes file (assuming you have preset the output, i.e. ProRes 422HQ)

Do some apps create better versions? if so… what would they be?

    thanks,
    Hal

Thanks Blaise, but I checked and not an effective variable.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, there are Sony service shops but reputations vary. Thus the inquiry.

Running tests today to clarify some issues with audio:
    1. Sennheiser shotgun, Sure SM 58 and 57 good.
    2. Lectrosonic UCR receiver to either ch1 or 2 will create loud hum. Receiver to cam via MC 100XLR short grey cable. Purchased with the Lectrsonics TX and Rcvr same time from BnH.
(I tested the wireless units via other audio gear and they sound good, no issues).
So it seems the wireless units are ok.
Something with the input xlr on the EX1r handle is malfunctioning.

    so it goes.

    tnx again,
    Hal
