Finally got it working. We reloaded QT7 from the install disk and then enabled the codecs at terminal level.

They are all there.

Thanks Walter, good to know that someone did get it working. It tried it on two different stations and neither one has enabled the legacy codecs. I’ll talk to IT here and see what could be our issue.

Hi, I’ve tried that and although it say’s they are now enabled I can’t see it as an option. In fact I can’t see what other codec it enables. I think it’s a placebo.

Yeah, saw it in MPEG Streamclip, but was hoping to export direct from FCP and AVID instead of exporting a native QT from the editing software and then exporting from MPEG Streamclip.

Didn’t load the software myself but QT7 is in the utilities folder and can launch and use it no issues, so I assume it was QT7 was installed correctly.

Are you on OS X 10.6.4?

Any ideas on what else could be going on.
