Hi there hope some one can help. I’m working on AVID and have exported an AAF that I import via Duck into FCP. What I find is that FCP looses effect information, (transitions, resizing etc.), yet according to what I have read it shouldn’t. Can anyone help me out with this one?

The Duck will only retain effects and transitions that are across both platforms. Anything that is unique to the Avid application will be converted to a dissolve. You will have to re-create or re-apply a similar effect in FCP.

The latest version of the Duck does retain more effects than in the past, but there are some transitions and effects that simply don’t translate.

Yes, thanks for that, I had a look at the list of effects that should be comming across but aren’t. I had read that the .aaf out of avid won’t carry some effects and that I should export an .omf2 (which is impossible if you have a HD project!). Do you anything about this issue.
