if you would add a UDC in the mix you will be able to record the converted sigal and transport it. or record the 1080p30 and crossconvert it with the UDC after the kipro mini.

    Hi,

The LHi has al the inputs you want, component, composite, S-video and all flavors of SDI.

I do agree that the DSR-11 isn’t really the deck to use, try to get a DSR-45 at least to capture, the result will be a lot better. those should be really cheap to rent.

    Hi Douwe,

I’m afraid I have to agree with Jeremy, due to the imac’s design the only thing you can count on the show you reliable full 10-bit color is the IOHD.

this is indeed a good solution.

The more color info you have the better the key will be.

Any 422 codec will have a better result than other HD codecs like HDV, XDCAM, …

If the client uses a Sony EX1, JVC HM-700 or similar camera the HD-SDI output will give a full 422 signal for the KiPro to record while the onboard recording on the memory cards will be 420 or 411.

    In short go for it.

    Hello Core,

    This contradicts youre previous info.

The Kona LHe is a PCIe Card, all macs have or PCI-X slots or PCIe slots.

Try to upgrade to the latest Lacie driver for the eSata card.
I know they used to have a problem with it.

    Hi Core,

Do you use the regular 7.1 driver or the NDD.
If you are using the regular driver you may want to try the NDD version.

What kind of eSATA hardware are you using?
