That’s normal, Adobe is not allowing you do open a project saved on a newer update. However, what you can do is on the new AE, click on “Save as -> Save as CC(14) or Save as CC(13), depending on the update you need.

I didn’t try, but it seems logic for me that you’ll need all the original video files to render your project, as AME “read” the original file to render your project.

So if you want to render on a different computer, you should put all your files on a usb stick and transfert to the second computer.
