they should implement this. Sometimes when my project crashes and starts to be annoying I copy the content to a new one and all the troubles go away that’s why it would be useful to copy track properties as well.

Sometimes audio can be problematic, I don’t know why. What I do I just render video and audio separately and then combine it with third party software.

Heh, I’ve just reinstalled whole system and I still can’t open my projects as Vegas 10 64bit returns the same frustrating message. I think I will jump from a bridge or something.

Vegas should work first on reliability and then on additional features. It’s a buggy software that can’t be trusted.

I am still claiming it’s a problem connected with NewBlueFx. It all came out after installing these plugins.

There is one forum that covers this issue but unfortunettely it’s in German ! But.. it seems somebody has found a solution there.

If anyone could understand whats written in the forum (link below) that might do the thing.

    https://www.vegasforum.de/directx-plugins-initialisiert-t1940.html?s=5e315025e4f0d1c849d453b854310a0e&

They say something about dx_video_grovel.log file in APPDATA folder and that uninstalling NewBlueFX doesn’t work and one has to delete all the plugin remains in system registry.

Angelinka, the author of the last post, says that it helped her.

But how to find the NewBlueFX lines in the registry?

I’ve found that it started to happen after I installed NewBlueFX trial plugins and it could have been the cause of conflict. I uninstalled 32-bit version but I was unable to uninstall 64-bit version properly so I simply deleted its folders.

The problem still exists although there are no messages concerning NewBlueFX plugins (I got them before uninstalling the plugins).

    thanks for help

    Cameron,

I had your problem with red footage in Vegas 9.0. Now I am using Vegas 10 and having the similar issue but my footage thumbnails go plain white and the preview is black like there is a hole on the timeline.

It seems it’s a random thing and I am getting really annoyed. Vegas is a very friendly piece of software and I am very used to it and that’s even more irritating.

I would like to track some pixels of one layer and make the second layer move like these pixels (to use tracked keyframes to move a different layer).

This is just great. But is it possible to copy tracked keyframes from one layer and apply them to another layer?

I’ve checked it out and it’s indeed there. Just a pity you can’t batch render multiple projects with one Vegas active.
