My family just got over N1H1. Was no fun. I skipped it but this old cowboy just doesn’t have time to get sick. I wash my hands a lot, take no vitamins and eat horribly. 😉
One thing you can do is skip the shots. I see many go wait in line to be injected with the flu then act surprised when they feel bad.
I have no use for doctors.

I have one client who has fallen on his head too many times. I weeded him out a year or two agao and when he cornered me and asked me why, I explained it was because he always tried to shake me down for freeby gigs. He first acted offended… then sad… then he hit me up for another freeby.

I try not to even add credits to TV shows. I’d rather have the running time for content. -
I get personal service everywhere but the drive through. I won’t have it any other way. I don’t even wait at the doctor’s office. If my apt is at 12:30 and they’ve not called me back by 12:45, I split and send em an invoice for my time. I’d never have a client sit and wait on me.
as for the IRS… it’s kind of funny… They provide no service and are not internal. I guess the term pimp was already taken. -
It seems weird that iDVD won’t import full sized SD NTSC video.
Your Avid projects have never been 720X480, even if capturing DV.
Can you just export quicktimes at 720X480?
Or just use Avid DVDit and keep everything 720X486. -
It greatly depends on talent, experience, gear, requirements, and what market you are in. I’d say the natl average for a freelance AE artist is $50/hr, if that helps as a reference point. Most animation houses are just over 100 an hour.

No. None of my time is worth less than other time. As you said… you can’t bill full rate while ties up doing this stuff.. unless charging fullr ate for doing it. If they can get it done cheaper elsewhere then they should do that. You should not charge less because it’s less chellenging. You are charging for time.
