I think you did what you wanted by introducing your services with this piece. Now charge what you’d normally charge if they balk, walk. You may haggle a bit if you think it’ll be worth it with a a good quantity of work. You could certaily pitch em a whol graphics pachage, new backgrounds, lower 3rds, billboards, ect and that could keep you busy for a while.
It’s been my experience that churches pay low end for high end. I think 25 bucks an hour was as much as I ever got out of em and even then they’d sometimes want my check as a “love gift”.

I have a color effect saved for this but it’s for quicktimes coming back in from AE. Never thought about how much that little change the brightness feature could bag those sending to automated encoders.
Are you spitting out uncompressed quicktimes because of the buggyness requiring mixdowns for use of QT references? You could try over compinsating a reference and see how much is washes it out once bogusly exported.
Most encoders will let you set an ire limit but again, you’d be washing it out a bit.
I’d like to know the true fix to this one as well. -
It doesn’t like to mix sample rates ona time line. If you duplicate your aequence and convert all audio to the same sample rate as the project, it otta go away.
Older software versions of Avid didn’t like audio cuts. Had to put lil disolves on each cut. Now, it’s the opposite. You can get a pop at the beginning or end of any audio dissolve you have rendered. -

You can also rename your OMFI folder, digitize a clip, let it recreate a new folder from scratch, then copy your media back into that new OMFI folder. -
You cold opt to not resize it and treat the edges instead. It’s either resize it or use it as a layer. Like, over itself full screen color treated and blurred? It’d border your fisheye shot.

MC express is a bit different. Is till recomend dlownloading the free version and tinkering a bit.
If you were freelance, I’d urge you into another hose for time on their Avid. That’s hard to do as a staffer elsewhere though. Check around for regional seminars that may be happening to try to sell the product. While they are usually bug-free cookie cutter demos all ironed out before hand, you’ll get a slight familuarity where things are. -
If there was some kind od hick up while rebuilding the database files, I could see it doing this.
Have you tried deleting them again on all drives and letting it rebuild them again.

I echo that. I’d say he once had a teacher tell him that and believed it.
I mix all day everyday and have never heard such a thing. If it were constant, I’d know it and if it were in and out only when the frequencies matched, it would even be more obvious.
eq and level has always been all I needed when mixing music and VOs. Been doing it 40 hours a week since ’94 within the Avid and just havn’t heard a problem. -
your only options are to change the font, font size or change the speed of the roll.
