    Lol:)

    . . .

  • – I had a corrupted file that slowed it down.
    – Neat Video, if not rendered, slows it down.
    – A unfriendly behaving audio or video plugin may be the problem
    – sometimes even cables make problems

    – maybe the time when the problem first occurred may give a hint
    – make a new library, copy event for event and test in between….

    ….hope this helps…

    Great reply!

In the lights of ‘This Guy Edits’ a question:
Would it be possible to document this 20 minute workflow in a similar fashion?
I know, rights and all that stuff, but maybe you can sell it to your employer as ‘free’ advertisement:)

I’m pretty sure a lot of folks would highly appreciate such an effort…..

….it would be dumb and lazy not to ask:)

    Great discussion.

    Highlight: 27:48 – 29:06:
‘ It’s shocking how slow it is to work in that timeline (Avid)…….
….Avid could do this and Avid can do that. It isn’t until you get back in the program. Oh wait: It can’t. ‘

[Jeremy Garchow] “Im cutting a BTS of a feature and I just painted a spider out of a window from some of the supplied footage from the movie. My guess is that take won’t make the final film, but it’s in a version given to me that I have to use, so I make the best of what I have and paint out a rogue spider. “

No, not the spider! That was the quintessence of the film and without it nobody can possibly understand anything. At all!

I tested Coremelt’s plug, the integrated and
    Prodad Mercalli:

This is at the time only working in 7 and Motion, but I found it on most footage far superior to both… it’s worth a try, I think.

June 13, 2014 at 7:01 pm in reply to: Crashing while using stills

I did a slide show with 900 pics of 24Megs each and everything came to a crawl. My solution was simply to scale the pics to the required resolution, then no further problems. Hope that helps.
