January 26, 2012 at 1:30 am in reply to: Exporting HD to full screen (getting rid of black border)Hey thx a lot i’ll be all set once I can get these two questions answered 1. After I used a new HD timeline I lost most of my transitions. Wasn’t a big deal until I tried redoing them only to fid out I can’t get the appropriate handles set because I can’t get the marker to stop using snap points. Evne tho I took snap off it’s still happening can I get it completely removed or is there some sort of limit at work? i don’t remember this being a problem on my 1st edit. Also really quickly: How come I have to manually re-size every clip I insert into the timeline? I already have on ‘scale to frame’

January 19, 2012 at 12:05 pm in reply to: Exporting HD to full screen (getting rid of black border)Disappointing.. I can verify my shoot settings when I get back home in about 11hrs. I used a DSLR camera (Canon rebel T2i). In the mean time how would I ensure that I’m working in an HD timeline? I’m almost tempted to redo the edit there. If you can, you might as well post that last resort measure so I can consider my options. I really appreciate it thx.

..and while we’re at this when I use Maximum quality or a high bit rate (unsure which yet) I get grainy footage output is that right??

Ok..so now I would like to have my video play in the full area of the screen. See since I’ve been using HD I can only get it to play in the little box with black borders all around. How do I fix that? Is it an aspect ratio thing? cuz even if I shot it in widescreen (which I did) I would think that it would go all the way to the left and right edges..

Ok I figured out the media encoder so now I’m just trying to get to the 1080p problem
-
My main problem is that when I export the file I do not see the options allowing me to export it in 1080p as opposed to the 720p option that I’m getting. I know I’m missing something but I think I can put the pieces together if I can figure out why that is..also I’m not sure of what I need to do next after i hit the ‘queue’ button and get the aff file. As for the size it’s a 4 min video so maybe it won’t be so big no?
