Trying to export in 1080p
Sup ppl,
I shot a music video at 24 frames (in premiere it says 29.97 fps) and in 1920 x 1080p quality. Yet when I export it, I’ll change the pixel rate to match it, or if I allow premiere (pro cs5)to keep the ratio it will go to 1920x 1280 and it just doesn’t come out in HD. This is my first exp with premiere so I’m learning as I go, but I used a canon rebel t2i and it should look a heck of a lot better than it does, (I’ve seen my friends work)I’m using a dell studio XPS 7100 with 6 gigs of RAM 64 bit OS and an AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor (3.00 GHZ) so I would think hardware isn’t the problem can someone help me out?? I would really appreciate it.

What are you trying to export to?
SD DVD?
Bluray?
Vimeo/u-tube?

Well the best quality…My other issue is that when I exported mpeg4 all I got was audio. I understand the best for windows is avi but so far Iv’e tried that and the mpg4. My goals are to post to youtube, but also eventually make a dvd. Im willing to try any format for those purposes separately or otherwise

So you shot 1080i/24p this will be in a 29.97 stream, this is normal.
File Export from APP, You want to send to queue to render out of AME.For YouTube/Vimeo, did you try the vimeo HD preset?

I like what I’m seeing but I don’t know what it means to ‘File Export from APP, You want to send to queue to render out of AME.’ I’m new to this level of video editing

I mean when I export the closest thing I see to APP I see is AAF….

APP – Adobe Premiere Pro
When in APP, Go to the “File” menu and choose “Export”
Choose selections, start with presets and adjust. The choose “queue” this will launch AME – Adobe Media EncoderChris Tompkins

The export menu gives me:
Media
Title (grayed out)
Tape (grayed out)
EDL
OMF
AAF
Final Cut Pro XMLI usually choose media which gives me the export settings menu

Media uses Adobe Media encoder….if you press the Queue button, then you can compress later/multiple items in Adobe Media Encoder.
You still really need to answer the question: What are you trying to do with it.
Youtube? Export (media) using the youtube setting.
DVD? Export (media) using the DVD setting.When you replied, “Best quality” – I think you’re trying to say, you want to make a long term ‘master’ file to use later, so you can remove the existing media from your system. The answer for that is a little bit of a struggle, as Adobe doesn’t have their own editorial codec; and uncompressed files – which won’t add any additional damage – will be huge!

My main problem is that when I export the file I do not see the options allowing me to export it in 1080p as opposed to the 720p option that I’m getting. I know I’m missing something but I think I can put the pieces together if I can figure out why that is..also I’m not sure of what I need to do next after i hit the ‘queue’ button and get the aff file. As for the size it’s a 4 min video so maybe it won’t be so big no?
