Milla, I think what you’re not understanding is that you NEVER delete any of your original media.

The process of consolidation is a completely separate process and it’s really just a process of duplicating the files that you used in your timeline and saving thide duplicates to another location.

And if this isn’t clear you’ll need to make YouTube your friend.

The normal process for giving a project and the media to someone else for color correction is to copy only the media that was used in your finished timeline. Another term for that process is project consolidation. When you consolidate a project you normally would consolidate the project and the media to another drive. You should never delete any of the original media from the main project drive.

If you don’t have another drive, go and purchase a cheap 1 terabyte usb3 drive and then do the media consolidation onto that drive.

4k requires that you either have a fast raid to play back the media smoothly or that you create proxy files of all of your 4k media before you start editing. And the workflow for any project is to bring in all of your media into the project to determine what you’ll need. Never think in terms of trimming media before bringing it into edit.

Hard drives are cheap and raids are also relatively cheap so if you’ll be working with large amounts of media get yourself a bunch of storage so that you can work efficiently.

You need to consolidate your project. However, if you use project manager in premiere you may run into problems so here’s a method of consolidating that will retain your folder/bin structure:

In all fairness I would guess that a similar type of video could be made about Dell, Lenovo or Samsung products since we’re talking about tech companies that are creating millions of devices annually.

But the video does a great job of illustrating how marketing is probably the most powerful factor in Apple’s continued success.

And Bill, if your only argument is that Apple makes more beautiful lemons than the competition then Apple may have some real issues.

You need to load your source clip into the source monitor window and then play it. By playing the source monitor window the Audio Clip mixer will witch to playing back the audio of the source clip.

Likewise, clicking your mouse on the Program monitor window or clicking in the timeline will cause the Audio clip mixer to show the audio of the timeline.

Interesting idea of creating the programming in such as way as to attract younger eyeballs but I’m not sure this show is attempting to do that. The reason I doubt it is because Letterman’s audience is naturally going to skew on the older side. Netflix is also such a powerhouse that it doesn’t really matter how good or bad the viewing numbers are for Letterman’s show. Letterman just adds yet even more prestige to the Netflix portfolio. I think Netflix has surpassed HBO at this point as the premiere “network.”

But TV being the tramp that it is, I’m sure a lot of programming today is consciously being made with the thought of how to attract those young eyeballs.

The encouraging thing that I see with my own kids is that they will watch a wide variety of traditional style programming just as intently as new media as long as the storytelling is compelling.
